HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?
After our strategy call, and if you decide to proceed with a package, I will send you a link to an in-depth questionnaire to complete. It is important that you put in as much detail as possible so that I can get a clear picture of what is going on and what you have tried in the past.
Ahead of our first consultation, I will ask you to complete a sleep diary. This will help me see patterns in your little one's sleep.
Other than that there is nothing you need to do
DO YOU OFFER REMOTE CONSULTATIONS?
Yes! All of my consultations are completed via a video link/call. This enables me to work with clients from all over the world.
If you would like an in person consultation then we can discus this.
WHAT IF IT DOESN'T WORK
Trust me it works! If you are consistent in your approach and follow the plan then it will work. I will guide you and support you all of the way, but success comes down to you implementing the changes that are needed.
WILL MY BABY CRY
Probably, but not because of any of the techniques we use. I will never ask you to follow a "cry it out" method (this involves leaving your child alone, without any reassurance, until they fall asleep exhausted). However, babies cry, that is their only means of communication. What we will do together is learn to identify the causes of that crying, and enable them to sleep without the need to communicate in this way.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE
Families often seen improvements within the first 3 days. Sleep training is behavioural intervention, some children respond to this very quickly, others take a little longer. Generally within the first 7 days you'll see a marked improvement. By 2 weeks you'll feel confident in the changes you have introduced and the progress you have made. My job is to empower you with the knowledge and the tools to get to your goals.
